Smruti Paper Bags is based out of Sector 21. It’s a pretty quiet area compared to the main city center. We spend most of our time folding and gluing paper bags. It’s repetitive work but someone has to do it. We started this because plastic was getting banned everywhere and people needed alternatives. Our shop isn't much to look at, just stacks of paper and finished bags ready to go. We handle different sizes, some small for jewelry and big ones for clothes or groceries. It gets messy with the glue and the paper scraps sometimes. We try to keep it organized but it's hard when a big order comes in. We don't have a big team, just a few of us working together. Most of our customers are local shop owners from around Sector 21 who need something to put their products in. We don't have a fancy website or anything. If someone needs bags, they usually just give us a call or drop by the workspace. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to fix them ourselves. It’s a lot of manual labor and standing on our feet. We take it one day at a time. The humidity affects the paper sometimes, so we have to be careful how we store it. It’s a simple life here in the sector. We just make bags and hope people find them useful for their businesses. Nothing fancy at all. It keeps us busy and pays the bills, and we are fine with that.
