Our small office for Shah Alloys Ltd. is located over in Santej, but most people know us by our address in Kalol. We are right there at 29, Manavmandir Society on the east side. It is easy to find because we are near the big water tank which everyone uses as a landmark around here. Working in the Gandhinagar district means we see a lot of different people coming through for metal needs. The place is pretty simple. We have a desk, some chairs, and a lot of ledgers for the alloy business. It gets dusty being so close to the industrial areas of Santej and Kalol, but we do not mind much. The pin code is 382721 if anyone is trying to mail us something, though most folks just drop by. We spend a lot of time talking about gauges and weights. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a break, but usually, it is just one task after another. It is a bit of a trek from the main city, but being near the water tank makes it feel like home. We do not have a big team of people in suits. It is just us working hard and making sure the alloy orders get processed without too many mistakes. The rhythm of the day is mostly set by the trucks and the phone ringing. We like it that way. It is honest work in a busy part of Gujarat.
