We are located at Plot No. E/144 in the electronic Estate GIDC. It is a pretty dry and dusty place most of the year. Selectronics (Guj) Pvt Ltd has been operating out of this unit for some time now. The estate is huge, and it’s very easy to get lost if you don’t know the plot numbers well. Our building is a simple concrete structure with high ceilings. Inside, it is mostly open space filled with workstations and storage racks. We handle a lot of electronic components here. There is always a delivery truck waiting outside or someone unloading crates of parts. The noise from the cooling fans is constant. It becomes like background music after you’ve been here a few hours. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls. It’s just bare brick and some functional shelving. Most of us wear regular clothes, nothing formal or corporate. The focus is always on the benches where the actual work happens. In the summers, it gets quite hot, so we have a few big pedestal fans blowing air around. We drink a lot of water and try to stay focused on the tasks. It’s a straightforward operation. We don't spend money on things we don't need to get the job done. If something breaks, we fix it ourselves. That’s just how we run things here at E/144. It is practical and busy every single day for the whole crew.
