Gandhinagar Electronics Zone Industries Association(Gezia)

Down in Sector-25 of Gandhinagar, things move at their own pace. We are based over at the GIDC Electronics Estate, specifically at B /23/2/1 / 2. This association has been a part of the local landscape for a good while. It is mostly about the people running the small shops and bigger units around here. Everyone knows each other in the electronics zone. We spend our time dealing with the paperwork and the common issues that pop up when you have a bunch of industries in one spot. It’s not a glamorous job. Most days involve sitting in the office, talking to members about the power supply or the roads or whatever else is going on in the estate. We try to keep things organized, though it feels like a bit of a struggle sometimes with how much is happening at once. The electronics estate is a busy area, lots of trucks and workers moving around. Our office is just a place where people can drop in and discuss what’s happening. We aren't some big corporate entity; we are just the folks who look after the interests of the businesses here. It’s practical work. We see the same faces every morning at the tea stall nearby. It’s a tight community of manufacturers and engineers all trying to get their work done without too much trouble from the outside and we just keep it going.
