Plastech

Plastech is our small outfit located at E 173 in the GIDC Electronics Estate. Even though we’re in an electronics estate, we handle a lot of the plastic components and housing that go along with those kinds of products. It’s a busy little shop with a few molding machines and some assembly tables. The floors are usually covered in small scraps of plastic, no matter how much we sweep. It’s a practical place, not meant for showing off to visitors. We mostly just focus on our orders and making sure the machines are set up right. The GIDC area is a good place for us because we’re close to other businesses we work with. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. We just talk to our customers and get the job done. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a big order to finish, and other times it’s a bit quieter. We’ve been operating from this unit for several years. Most of our guys have been here since the start. We don't make big claims about being the best; we just try to be reliable and do the work honestly. If you stop by, you’ll see us in our work clothes just trying to get through the day's tasks.
