Shakti Electronics

Being over here at B 19 in the Gidc Electronics Estate means we are surrounded by a lot of similar businesses. This industrial area is quite different from a retail market. Most people in this part of town are here for work. Mornings at Shakti Electronics usually start early. We get the lights on and look at what needs to be done for the day. There is always a lot of clicking and the smell of solder or just old metal. Things get cramped inside sometimes because we have parts and boxes tucked into corners. The floor isn't always sparkling clean, but it's organized enough to find what we need. Noise from trucks and people moving crates is common outside. Staying in this spot makes sense for what we do. Lunch is usually quick. Maybe someone goes out to get tea for everyone. It’s a practical space without fancy decorations on the walls. Mostly you just see shelves and workstations. When people come to find us at B 19, they usually know what they are looking for. It’s quiet in its own way despite the machines. Keeping our heads down and getting through the tasks is the main focus. By the time evening rolls around, the estate starts to quiet down a bit and we wrap things up for the day. It’s a long day usually, but we get things finished. Routine is what keeps this place running from one week to the next.
