Our place at B 39 Gidc Electronics Estate is where we spend most of our daylight hours. Dealing with circuits means a lot of squinting and steady hands. It’s a very different vibe than the heavy industry parts of the estate. It’s quieter, mostly just the hum of the soldering irons and some low music on the radio. The Gidc layout can be confusing, but once you find B 39, you’ll see our small workshop. We have benches lined up with magnifying glasses and tiny little components scattered around. It’s easy to lose a screw or a resistor if you aren't careful. We wear these smocks to keep the static down, though they aren't the most comfortable things. The air conditioning is always on because the boards don't like the heat, which is a plus for us during the summer. We eat our lunch together at a big table in the middle. Sometimes we argue about which circuit design is better, but it’s all in good fun. We don't have a lot of visitors, mostly just delivery guys bringing in parts. It’s a slow and steady kind of work. We focus on the boards and try not to get too distracted by the noise from the street outside. It’s just how we do things here. We have been in this spot for a long time and the neighborhood hasn't changed much since we arrived.
