Rapid Electronics

We are situated at B 194/195 in the GIDC Electronics Estate. Having that extra unit space is really necessary because of all the different components we keep in stock. If you walk in, you’ll see rows of bins filled with capacitors, resistors, and all kinds of things that most people wouldn’t recognize. We’ve been here for years, and the routine hasn’t changed much. We get in, check the lists, and start pulling parts for the day’s orders. It’s a lot of walking back and forth across the floor. The GIDC is a busy place, and there’s always someone coming by to ask for a part they can’t find anywhere else. We don't really have a big philosophy about what we do; we just try to have the right parts on the shelf when someone needs them. Sometimes the deliveries are late or a shipment comes in wrong, and we have to spend the afternoon sorting it out. That’s just the nature of the electronics business. The lighting in the shop is a bit bright to help us see the tiny labels on the drawers, and there’s usually a radio playing in the background to keep things from being too quiet. We’re just a group of people who know electronics and like being part of this industrial community. We don't bother with anything too fancy, just the work.
