Amichem Corporation

Amichem Corporation is set up on Khatraj Road, taking up Plot No. 2193-2195. We’re right near Shah Alloys, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find us. It’s a large space because we need the room for all the chemical processing we do. There are pipes running along the ceilings and big tanks sitting in the corners. It’s a bit of a walk from one end of the plots to the other. The area out here on Khatraj Road is fairly open compared to the crowded city estates, so we get a bit more breeze, which helps when the machines are running hot. We’ve got a group of people here who just get on with it. There’s no big hierarchy; we just see what needs doing and someone takes care of it. The floor is usually wet from cleaning or from the cooling water we use. We spend our time monitoring the temperatures and pressures on the gauges. It’s a lot of standing around watching things and then suddenly moving fast when a batch is ready. We don’t have any polished presentations or a corporate image. It’s just a functional industrial site with a lot of heavy-duty equipment and chemical smells. We go home tired and come back the next morning to start the whole thing over again. It’s honest work, and the location works well for getting our shipments out on the road.
