You’ll find us over at 13 Suvarndham Avenue, which is on the Andh Kalyan Kendra Road. The area of Rani Ranipn is pretty calm compared to the main parts of the city. Our clinic isn’t very large, just a few rooms where we keep our jars and oils. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the smell of herbs. It’s a strong scent, earthy and thick, but you get used to it after five minutes. We spend a lot of time grinding things up and mixing different powders. The shelves are full of glass bottles and plastic tubs with handwritten labels. We don't have those fancy digital screens in the waiting room. Instead, we have a couple of benches and some plants in the corner that need watering more often than they get it. The floor is concrete, painted a light grey. Most of our visitors are people from the neighborhood who prefer the old ways of doing things. We take our time with everyone, so the wait can be a bit long sometimes. There’s a small window in the back that looks out onto a patch of grass. Sometimes a cat sits on the sill. It’s a quiet life here. We don’t do much advertising; people just hear about us from their neighbors. It’s a simple setup for people who want something traditional.
