Sachi Traders

Sachi Traders is run from House No. 60 in Ward No.10, over in Azad Nagar. We are based right near Gandhi Road, which is a fairly busy part of the neighborhood. Since we are in a residential ward, the house doubles as our storage and office space. It’s a bit of a juggle keeping the family life and the business stuff separate. You’ll often find boxes stacked in the hallway or near the front door. We trade in various goods depending on what’s needed in the local market. The neighbors all know us, and sometimes they drop by just to chat or see what we’ve got in stock. The lanes in Azad Nagar are quite narrow, so when a delivery van comes, it blocks the whole street for a few minutes. We have to hurry to get things unloaded so the traffic can move again. It’s a modest operation, nothing fancy at all. We use a simple notebook to keep track of our sales. My brother helps out with the heavy lifting and the deliveries. We don't have a big sign or a storefront with glass windows. It's just a regular house where we do our business. During the monsoon, we have to be extra careful to keep everything dry because the roof leaks a little in the corner. It’s just a way to make a living in our own community. Most evenings, we sit out on the front step once the work is finally done.
