S M D Service Center

Our service center is located at Plot Number 162 in the Gujarat Housing Board area. We’re right on IOC Road in Chandkheda, and the Hanuman Temple is just a short walk away. Being S M D Service Center means we see a lot of broken things come through our door every day. People from the housing board nearby bring in all sorts of stuff that needs fixing. The workshop is usually full of tools and parts scattered across the benches. It might look like a mess to someone else, but we know exactly where the soldering iron is or where we put that specific screwdriver. The noise from the traffic on IOC Road is constant but you get used to it after a while. We spend a lot of time hunched over worktables trying to get a machine to turn back on or fixing a loose wire. It’s satisfying when something finally works again after you’ve been staring at it for an hour. Sometimes people stop by just to ask a quick question while they’re heading to the temple. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the trade. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until we close the shutters at night. We’ve been in Chandkheda for a while and we like being part of this little community.
