Down in the Gidc Electronic Zone in Gandhinagar, things stay pretty focused. We are located at E-133/136. It is a big space because the machines we work with for ultrasonic stuff take up quite a bit of room. If you walk in, you will hear that high-pitched hum that never really stops. It is not like a regular workshop. We spend our hours looking at plastic welding and cleaning setups. Gujarat gets hot in the summer, and the factory floor feels it, even with the fans going full blast. Most of the guys here have been working with these ultrasonics for years. We are not really into big speeches or fancy brochures. We just get the specs from the clients and try to make the equipment do what it is supposed to do. Sometimes a part does not fit right or a circuit acts up, and we just sit there until we figure it out. Lunch breaks are usually taken together near the back entrance where there is a bit of shade. The Electronic Zone is a good place for this kind of work. There are plenty of other industrial units around, so there is always some truck moving or someone unloading crates. We keep our logs on paper mostly, though some of the younger staff are trying to get us more digital. It is a lot of technical detail, but at the end of the day, it is just about making sure the machines work before they head out.
