R.K. Traders

Our place, R.K. Traders, is right at Plot No. 33 in the Municipal Market. If you know G.D. Road, we are directly opposite the Maruti Nandan Complex. It’s a very crowded area, especially on market days. Parking can be a real headache, so most people just park wherever they find a small gap. We’ve been in this market for a good number of years now. The shop is filled with all sorts of things we trade. It might look a bit disorganized to someone walking in for the first time, but we know exactly where everything is kept. We open up early in the morning because that’s when the first deliveries usually arrive. The tea stall next door is where we spend our breaks. It’s a basic setup. We don't have air conditioning or fancy chairs for people to sit on. You just come in, tell us what you need, and we see if we have it in stock. If we don’t, we try to get it by the next day. The building itself is quite old and shows its age, but it serves its purpose. We deal with a lot of regular customers who have been coming to us since the start. They know the way we work. It’s just honest trade. We don’t do much advertising; word of mouth is usually enough for us. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, but we just keep going.
