We are over in Ranip, near the Balol Nagar Circle. Our shop is A 206 in the Dev Home 3 building. It is a busy part of town, so there is never really a quiet moment throughout the day. We have racks and racks of clothes squeezed into the space. Most of what we do involves looking at fabrics and making sure the stitching is held together properly. The floor is usually covered in little snips of thread and fabric scraps that the broom misses. We have a few mirrors on the walls for people to see how they look, though the lighting is not always perfect. It gets crowded on the weekends when people are out shopping in Ranip. We spend a lot of time folding things back up after someone has gone through the piles. The sewing machines are tucked in the back where it is a bit darker. We have been in this building for a bit now, and we know most of the other shop owners nearby. Sometimes we sit out front for a minute just to get some air and watch the traffic. It is not a high-end boutique with carpets and fancy music. It is just a clothing shop where we work hard to keep everything in order. The racks can be a bit wobbly if you put too much on them, so we have to be careful. It is a lot of manual work, moving boxes and hanging up new stock every week.
