Our place is out in GIDC Chhatral, specifically at Plot No. 3315 in Phase 4. If you know this area, you know it’s mostly just factories and big trucks. It’s a bit of a drive from the city, so we spend a lot of time out here among the other industrial units. We deal with polytex and similar materials, and the warehouse can get quite noisy when everything is running. It’s not a glamorous job, and the office is just a corner of the building where we can sit and handle the billing. The air always has that industrial smell to it, and the sun beats down pretty hard on the corrugated roofs around here. We have a small crew, and everyone pretty much knows what they have to do without being told. We don’t have a fancy lunchroom, so we usually just eat at our desks or go to one of the small shacks nearby for some dal and roti. The gates are usually open to let the transport vehicles in, and there’s always a bit of grit on the windows from the wind. We’ve been operating out of Chhatral for a while now, and while it’s not the most exciting place to be, it’s where the work is. We keep our heads down and try to get the orders out on time, even when the machinery decides to be difficult. It’s just how things go in an industrial zone like this.
