P.C. Industries

Our place, P.C. Industries, is located out in Rakanpur at Block No 782. It’s within the Pramukh Industrial Estate, which is a bit of a distance from the main town of Kalol. If you are coming this way, you just look for Ship Gravures since they are the big landmark near us. We’ve been here for a while now, working out of this shed. It’s a practical space for what we do, which is mostly industrial manufacturing. The floors are concrete and there’s always a bit of oil or dust around, but that’s just how it is in this line of work. We don't have any fancy reception area or a person in a suit to greet you. Usually, you’ll just find one of us near the machines or loading a truck. We have a small group of workers who live nearby, and we all just get on with it. The tea stall around the corner is our main hangout during the breaks. We don't go in for big mission statements or anything promotional. We just make the parts people ask for and try to get them out on time. The power situation can be a bit tricky sometimes in the village area, but we've learned to work around it. It’s a quiet life compared to the city, and we like the space we have here at Block 782. We just keep our heads down and focus on the day's tasks.
