Parantapa Foundation

Parantapa Foundation is located at Number 48 in the Vrundavan Bunglows over in Uwarsad, Gandhinagar. It’s a quiet residential neighborhood, so it’s usually very calm and green around our place. We actually work out of one of the bungalows instead of a traditional office. It’s a nice change of pace from being stuck in a high-rise building all day. We even have a little bit of a garden outside, which is a great place to sit in the mornings. There are just a few of us who work here regularly. We handle all the foundation's daily business from a small room we’ve converted into an office space. Uwarsad is a bit of a distance from the main city, so it’s a peaceful spot to actually get things done without interruptions. We don’t get a lot of walk-in traffic, which really helps us stay focused on our tasks. Most of our communication with the outside world is done through the internet or over the phone. We’re not interested in trying to look like some big, polished corporation. We just want to do our part and stay busy. Sometimes we have our meetings in the main living area if there are more than a couple of us present. It’s all very informal and relaxed. We might be sitting there with a cup of tea while we talk about our next project. It’s a simple way of working that really suits our local style.
