Odd Square Design Studio

Our studio is tucked away in Suthar Vas, right at the very last line of Kalyanpura in Kalol. It is in the Gandhinagar district, but it feels quite far from the government buildings and the big city life. We like being out here because it is quiet and we can actually hear ourselves think. The building we are in is not new, and the stairs are a bit narrow. We have filled the space with our drawing boards, computers, and a lot of old papers that we probably should have thrown out by now. It is a bit messy, but that is just how we work. People in the village sometimes look at us funny because they are not quite sure what a design studio does all day. We just tell them we make things look better. We do not have a big budget for marketing or anything like that. Most of our work comes from word of mouth. Someone tells a friend, and then they show up at our door. We do not even have a proper doorbell most of the time. You just have to knock loud. We share the space and help each other out with different projects. It is a small team and we are more like friends than coworkers. We do not have any big plans to move to a bigger city. We like our little corner here in Kalol and the pace of life.
