Knoten Engineering

We have our workshop out in Village Zak at Building No.-19. It’s in the Ashutosh Estate, right across from the Radhe Industrial Estate on Kadadra Road. Being in the Dehgam area means we get a lot of local business from the nearby factories. We do engineering work but it’s mostly just fixing stuff that breaks or making new parts for machines. It’s a loud place with all the grinding and welding going on. My partner and I started this because we liked working with our hands. We aren't interested in being a big corporate firm. We just like solving mechanical problems. The shop is usually a bit of a mess with scraps of metal and tools everywhere, but we know where everything is. We don't have a receptionist so if the phone rings we just wipe our hands and answer it ourselves. Sometimes we stay late when a customer has an emergency at their plant. It’s just how things go when you run your own place. The road to Gandhinagar is a bit of a drive so we stay put most of the day. We don't have a mission statement or anything. We just want the machines to work right when they leave our floor. It’s honest labor and it keeps us tired but happy. We’ve been in this spot for several years now and have gotten to know the industrial estate folks quite well.
