Vah Packaging

Out here in Rakanpur, near Kalol, things are a little quieter than the city, but the work is just as busy. Vah Packaging is located at Plot No. 559/1 within the Vah Estate. We are right near Acute Surgical, which is the main way people explain where we are. Our work is all about boxes and wraps and making sure things are packed up tight. The warehouse is huge and filled with stacks of paper and plastic. It smells like cardboard and tape in here. We have a few machines that do the cutting and folding, and they make a rhythmic thumping sound all day. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here to Gandhinagar district, but we like the space we have. We do not have a big office or a reception area. You just walk into the main shed and find someone working. We handle a lot of different sizes of packaging. Sometimes the orders are small and sometimes we have to fill a whole truck. We just take it as it comes. The people working here live in the nearby villages or stay in the staff quarters. It is a simple life centered around the production schedule. We keep our machines maintained and our floors swept, more or less. Plot 559/1 is just a place where we turn raw materials into something useful for other businesses. It isn't complicated, it is just steady work every day of the week and we keep at it.
