At Hanuman Cargo Movers, we spend most of our time around Udhijini Chali on Mahendra Mill Road. Being near the GEB office in Kalol makes it easy for people to find where we park our trucks. Moving house is a stressful thing for most people, but for us, it’s just another day of lifting heavy wardrobes and trying not to scrape the walls. We have a lot of old blankets and rolls of bubble wrap lying around the office. The heat in Kalol can get pretty bad during the summer, which makes loading a truck a real workout. We handle a lot of local moves, but sometimes we have to go further out. We’ve seen all sorts of things packed in boxes—mostly just kitchen stuff and old clothes, but occasionally something heavy like an old sewing machine. We try to be careful with the glass items, though accidents can happen in this line of work. It’s a lot of driving and navigating through narrow lanes where the truck barely fits. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It’s just us, some strong ropes, and the trucks. People usually call us because their cousin used us before or they saw us driving around Mahendra Mill Road. It’s hard work, and we’re usually pretty tired by sunset, but the job gets done eventually. We just take it one box at a time.
