Gurjar Cellulose

You can find us at Plot No. 3424/A in Phase-IV of the GIDC in Vatva. It is a very industrial area, so there is always the smell of manufacturing and the sound of big trucks passing by. Our work revolves around cellulose products, which involves a lot of handling of raw materials and monitoring the processing units. The GIDC is a huge place, and Vatva can be quite dusty, especially when the wind picks up. We have a decent sized plot where we manage the production and keep the stock. It’s not the cleanest work, as dealing with these materials can get a bit messy on the factory floor, but we have a routine that works for us. Most of the staff here have been with the company for years, so we all know how the machines behave. During the monsoon, the roads around here can get a bit waterlogged, which makes shipping things out a bit slow, but we usually plan ahead for that. We don't have a fancy front office; it's mostly just a small cabin where we keep the registers and the computer. Most of our day is spent out on the floor making sure the batches are coming out right. It is hard work, but it keeps the business going. We are just a local operation trying to keep up with the daily demands of the industry here in Ahmedabad.
