You can find us at Block No 14 in the Dr. Jivraj Mehta Bhavan building. We take up the ground and first floors there. It’s a government-style building, so there are lots of long corridors and heavy doors. As the Gujarat Medical Services Corporation Ltd., our work is mostly behind the scenes. We deal with the supplies and management for various health services. It’s a lot of desks, computer screens, and stacks of files. The air conditioning can be a bit loud during the hot summer months. We have a manager in charge of the DS section here. People are always coming in and out with documents that need to be signed or filed away. It’s not the kind of place where you’d come for a personal checkup. It’s more about the logistics of making sure medicine and equipment get where they need to go across the region. We have a set routine. We come in, check the logs, and start the day's tasks. Sometimes there is a bit of a queue at the entrance of the building for security checks. The office itself is pretty plain and simple. We have some old metal cupboards and standard office chairs. It’s not a place for style or fashion. We are just focused on the tasks at hand. It can get a bit hectic when new orders come in. We try our best to keep everything moving smoothly through the system.
