G.S.E.B

The office for G.S.E.B is located over at 24, Ramwadi Society. We are near Nirnaynagar on the Chandlodia Road in Ahmedabad. It’s a typical government-style office setup. People usually come here when they have something to say about their electricity bills or if there is a line down somewhere. The office is in a residential area, so it feels a bit like being at home but with more filing cabinets. Gujarat gets really hot, so the fans are always spinning. We have a lot of old ledgers sitting around. Most of the work is digital now but we still keep some paper records just in case. The street outside is usually busy with people going to work or school. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. Everyone in Ramwadi knows where we are. It’s not the kind of place you come to for fun. It’s a place for business and getting things sorted. Sometimes there is a line of people out the door on Monday mornings. We just take them one by one. The staff is mostly local folks who have been working for the board for decades. We know the grid pretty well. It’s just a regular job, making sure the lights stay on for everyone. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that is usually the highlight of the afternoon. We just do our part. It is not always easy but it is important.
