Green Field Control System India Pvt. Ltd. is located in the GIDC Electronic Estate, specifically at E/72 in Sector-26. This area is full of other electronics companies, so we fit right in. Our place is basically a big room full of workbenches, soldering irons, and a lot of wires. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, as there’s always some project being put together or taken apart. We spend our days looking at circuit boards and testing control panels. It requires a lot of patience. Sometimes a system doesn’t work the way it should, and we have to spend hours poking around to find the tiny mistake. We aren't a huge corporation with fancy uniforms. Most of us just wear regular clothes and get on with it. We’ve been in this GIDC spot for years. The building is a bit old, and the elevator sometimes gets stuck, so we mostly take the stairs. We have a small area where we keep a kettle for making tea during breaks. That’s usually when we talk about things other than work. We don't do much marketing; most of our clients are other industrial businesses that need their systems looked at. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy. We like the technical side of things and just enjoy getting a system to run smoothly for someone else. It's a living and we're good at the details.
