If you head over to Sector- 28, you will find us at 705 in the Gidc Engg. Zone. It is a standard industrial area, nothing too flashy, just lots of different units doing various types of engineering work. Girnar Extrusions Pvt. Ltd. is just one of those units sitting in the middle of the block. We spend most of our hours standing around the extrusion machines. The floor is usually covered in little bits of metal and the smell of grease is pretty common. It is a noisy place when everything is running at once, so we usually have to raise our voices a bit just to be heard over the hum. We do not really have a fancy office up front, just a small partitioned space to handle the paperwork and take the occasional phone call. Most of the real work happens in the back where the heat from the machines is. We make different profiles and shapes, depending on what the machines are set up for on that particular day. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend the whole afternoon fixing it, which is just part of the job. The guys here have been doing this for years, so they know all the little quirks of the equipment. Sector- 28 is a busy part of the Gidc zone, so there are always people moving about and trucks picking up orders. We just stick to our corner.
