We are located in Cie Phase II, specifically at Sy 150, Plot No 22/D. It's a big industrial area, so there are other factories and sheds all around us. We work with elastomers, which basically means a lot of rubber products and parts. The smell of raw rubber is quite strong, but it's something you get used to after a few days of working here. The factory floor is busy from the morning until the evening shift ends. We have these big hydraulic presses and mixing machines that make quite a bit of noise. It’s not the cleanest environment, but that’s just the nature of this kind of business. We have a small office near the main gate where we handle the paperwork and take orders over the phone. Most of our day is spent checking the quality of the batches we produce. If the temperature in the press isn't exactly right, the whole lot can be ruined, so we have to be very careful with the timers. We employ people from the nearby colonies. We aren't a huge corporation with a board of directors, just a medium-sized unit trying to keep the orders moving. The trucks come in to pick up the finished goods a couple of times a week. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend half the night fixing them to stay on schedule. It’s hard, sweaty work.
