Balaji Chemicals

Being right opposite Nirma Ltd in Chhatral makes us pretty easy to find. We are situated at Survey No. 525. It’s a heavy industrial area, so there is always a lot of smoke and noise around, but that’s the nature of chemical work. At Balaji Chemicals, we spend our days mixing and monitoring batches. It’s not the kind of job where you can wear a nice suit. We wear our old clothes and stay focused on the chemicals. The site is a bit older, and the gates sometimes squeak when they open. We don't mind. We have our routine down to a science. The morning shift starts early to beat the heat. We get the containers ready and check the inventory levels. Dealing with chemicals requires a lot of attention, so we don't talk much while we're working. Chhatral is a tough place to work because of the dust, but it’s where all the action is. We aren't looking to expand into some giant corporation. We like the size we are because we can watch everything closely. Sometimes the trucks are late and we have to sit around drinking tea, waiting for the supplies. It’s part of the trade. We just do what we do and try to stay out of trouble. Our workers are local and they know the drill.
