Apparel Solutions is tucked away at 8-444 Annapoorna Layout, specifically on 3rd Street in Gandhi Nagar. It’s a bit quieter here than on the main roads, which we prefer. Inside, the sound of sewing machines is the main thing you hear. We have long tables where we spread out the fabric and cut the patterns. There are threads of different colors all over the floor by the end of the day. We don't have a big storefront with mannequins; it’s more of a workshop where the real work happens. Most of us have been sewing for a long time, so we just get on with it. We handle a lot of different garments, depending on what the current orders are. Sometimes it’s piles of shirts, other times it might be something else entirely. The shelves are loaded with rolls of cloth that we’ve collected over time. We keep a pot of tea going in the corner, and we usually have the radio playing softly in the background. It isn't a high-fashion studio, just a practical place where clothes get made. We deal with zippers, buttons, and seams all day long. The lighting is bright so we can see what we are doing, but the rest of the place is pretty basic. We just try to finish the batches on time so we can clear the tables for the next day’s work. It’s a steady job and we like being in this part of town.
