Ambica is a small shop located in the Shalin Complex. We are right opposite the petrol pump in Sector 11, which makes it easy for people to stop by when they are out getting fuel. The shop has been here for several years now. We carry a mix of items, mostly things that families in the sector need on a regular basis. It’s not a very large space, so we have to be smart about how we stack the shelves. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when three or four people are inside at the same time. We don't have a lot of staff, usually just one or two of us at the counter. The location is good because of the traffic from the petrol pump, but it also means we get a lot of dust coming in from the main road. We spend a fair amount of time cleaning the glass cases. Our routine is pretty much the same every day—opening up, checking the stock, and talking to the neighbors. It’s a quiet life for the most part, apart from the sound of cars across the street. We don’t do anything fancy with the store's appearance; it’s just a plain shop with honest goods. People know they can drop in for a quick item without having to go to the bigger markets further away. We try to keep our prices fair so the local folks keep coming back.
