Yogeshwar Petroleum

Our place is out in Gandhidham, specifically at Plot No. 58 in Sector-8. Yogeshwar Petroleum isn't a place for fancy clothes or clean shoes. It’s dusty out here in Kachchh and the sun can be really unforgiving. We are located at Ganesh Bhavan, which is a sturdy enough building for the kind of work we do. There are always trucks moving nearby and the air usually smells a bit like diesel and dry earth. We handle the paperwork and the coordination from a small office that usually has a layer of dust on the windows no matter how often we wipe them. It’s a very different vibe from the city markets. Everything is spread out and heavy. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to drivers who are passing through. The water in the cooler is never quite cold enough in May. We have a few plastic chairs for visitors and a big calendar on the wall to keep track of the dates. It’s straightforward work. We don't use big words or have complicated meetings. We just make sure the fuel and the logistics are sorted out so things keep moving. At the end of the day, we lock up the gate and head home, usually pretty tired from the heat. It’s a quiet spot once the sun goes down and the heavy traffic thins out on the main road, which is a nice change from the daytime chaos.
