I run Vinod Traders out of Gandhidham in the Kachchh region. We are on the first floor at Plot No 162 in the D C-2 area. It’s a busy trading hub and there is always a lot of activity with trucks and goods moving around. My day usually starts with checking what has arrived and what needs to go out. The office is full of ledgers and sample products. Kachchh can get very dry and dusty, so we are constantly cleaning off the shelves. I’ve been in trading for years, and it’s all about knowing the market and the people. We aren't doing anything revolutionary here. We buy things, we store them, and we sell them to people who need them. It's a basic way to make a living but it works for us. Sometimes the logistics can be a nightmare with delays at the port or on the roads. I spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers. The first floor is a good spot because it's a bit quieter than the street level, but we still hear everything. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us handling the paperwork and the heavy lifting. We stay pretty busy throughout the year. If you are in Gandhidham, you probably know the area we are in. It’s just a regular trading business. We started small and kept going for a long time.
