Shreyas Packaging Industries

We’re based out in Gandhidham, specifically in the Kandla Special Economic Zone. Our workplace is spread across Shed No. 105 to 108 in Sector-1. Having four sheds gives us a lot of room for all the packaging equipment and the raw materials we keep on hand. It’s a big operation, but we keep things pretty simple. The air out here in Kachchh can be quite salty because we’re so close to the coast, which means we have to keep an eye on the machinery to make sure it doesn't rust. Shreyas Packaging is a place where things are always moving. There’s the sound of tape dispensers and cardboard being folded all day long. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles in the office. It’s just a few desks and some filing cabinets. Most of the team is out in the sheds making sure the orders are going out on time. The sun hits the metal roofs in the afternoon and it gets pretty warm inside, so we keep the big doors open for a breeze. It’s a lot of physical work and we’re often covered in bits of paper or tape by the end of the shift. We’ve been in this SEZ for a while now and we know the security guards and the other business owners around here. It’s a hardworking community and we just do our part. It's a long day, but we're used to it.
