Shree Chamunda Salt Works

Our office is on the first floor of the Annam Comercial Centre in Gandhidham. We are over at Plot No. 37 in Sector 9, which is a pretty common area for businesses around here in Kachchh. Shree Chamunda Salt Works has been around for a bit, and we mostly handle the logistics and the paperwork for salt production and sales. Salt is a big deal in this part of the country and there’s always something to do. The office has a few desks and a lot of files. It’s not very exciting work, mostly just tracking shipments and making sure the salt gets where it needs to go. We spend a lot of time talking to truck drivers and people at the sites. The air here sometimes smells like the sea, which I guess is fitting for what we do. My coworkers and I have a routine. We show up, make some coffee, and start going through the orders. Sometimes the weather affects how things move, especially during the monsoon season when everything slows down. We’ve got a good spot in the building and it’s easy for people to find us if they need to. It’s a steady kind of life. We don’t do anything flashy. We just make sure the salt business keeps moving along like it always has. There’s always plenty of paperwork to keep us busy until we head home in the evening.
