Shell Fine Linen Exports

Shell Fine Linen Exports is located out in Gandhidham-Kachchh, specifically at Shed No. 269 and 270 in Sector 3 of the Kandla Special Economic Zonegandhidham-kachchh. It is a pretty dry and dusty part of the world, especially when the wind picks up across the open spaces between the big sheds. Working in the SEZ means there is always a lot of security at the gates and trucks lining up to move goods in and out. Inside our sheds, it is mostly about the linen. We have these two units side by side, 269 and 270, which gives us enough room to breathe and move things around, though it still feels crowded when a big shipment arrives for packing. The sun beats down on the roof most of the year, making it pretty warm inside by mid-afternoon. We usually have a fan going near the desk, but you just get used to the heat after a while. Most of our neighbors are doing similar industrial work, so there is a lot of forklift noise and the sound of heavy doors opening and closing throughout the day. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It is just the sheds where the work happens and the crates get packed up for export. Every day is about checking the stacks and making sure the labels are right before the trucks come back around. It is a long way from the city.
