You can find Rusan Pharma Ltd. over at the Kandla Special Economic Zone, covering Plots 59 to 65 in Sector II. It’s a large area, and we have several buildings to handle the pharmaceutical work we do. Being in the SEZ means there is a lot of security and paperwork just to get in and out every day. The atmosphere is very different from a regular town market; it’s all about containers, ships, and large-scale production. Inside our gates, we keep things as clean as possible because of the nature of making medicines. It is a lot of responsibility, and the staff takes it seriously. Most of us have been working here for a long time, so we know the layout of the plots like the back of our hands. The wind from the sea can get quite strong sometimes, which is something you just get used to when working in Kandla. We have a lot of machinery running, and there is a specific rhythm to the day. Lunch breaks are usually taken in shifts so the production doesn’t stop. It isn't an easy job, and the hours can be long when we have big shipments to prepare. But it’s what we do. We aren't here for show; we are here to produce what’s needed and get it sent out through the zone. It’s a busy, functional place that never really sleeps.
