About Rama International – Metals & Minerals in Gandhidham
If you’re driving down National Highway No. 8/A, you’ll see our place at Shop No. 17 in the Tankers Owners Association Building. It’s right across from Hotel Gokul, which is where most of us end up getting lunch or tea when we need a break. Being on the highway means there’s always noise. Trucks are constantly passing by, and the dust is something we just have to live with. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass at Rama International, but ten minutes later, you can’t even tell. The building itself has a lot of history, mostly with transport people. You see a lot of drivers and owners hanging around the stairs talking about fuel prices or the weather. It’s a practical kind of place. Inside the shop, it’s mostly just us handling paperwork and talking on the phone. We’ve got a couple of old chairs that have seen better days, but they’re comfortable enough. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour, and we just sit outside and watch the traffic go by. It’s not a quiet office job, but it feels real. We know the neighbors, and we know which days the road is going to be blocked. It’s just how things go here. We aren't doing anything world-changing, just keeping the business moving and making sure the orders are sorted out for everyone.
