Rama Glass House

Rama Glass House is located at D B Z South - 177 in Gandhidham. We have been working with glass for a long time in this part of Kachchh. If you walk into our place, you will see sheets of glass leaned up against the walls and bits of frames lying around on the worktables. It is a bit of a messy shop, but we know where everything is kept. Glass is heavy and fragile, so we have to be careful every single day we are here. We don’t have a big showroom with lights and mirrors everywhere. It is more of a workshop where we cut things to size and get them ready for customers. Often there is glass dust on our clothes and we have to watch our hands for small cuts. That’s just part of the trade we chose. Usually, it’s just a couple of us working here. We talk to the people who come in, take their measurements, and try to get the pieces ready by the time they need them. The South part of DBZ is a busy area, so there is always noise from the street coming in through the open door. We don’t have any fancy slogans or a big marketing plan. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for whoever needs glass work done. It’s a simple business and we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and do the job right as best as we can every day for our neighbors.
