Raj Plywood

If you look for us near Shivaji Park, you’ll find our spot at D. B. Z. S. 188. Being right across from the park is nice because you see people walking and kids playing, which makes the day go by faster. We handle a lot of wood here at Raj Plywood. The smell of saw dust is something you never really get out of your clothes, but I don't mind it much anymore. It’s a bit of a cramped space sometimes when a big delivery comes in and we have to stack everything just right so we can still walk around. We’ve been in Gandhidham for a long time, and we know most of the people on this street. Usually, the mornings are the busiest when the sun isn't so high yet. We have a small fan that runs all day, but it mostly just moves the warm air around. Still, it helps. We just try to keep things simple here. My hands are usually a bit dusty from moving the sheets around, and there’s always a list of things to do that seems to get longer instead of shorter. We take our lunch breaks together when there’s a quiet moment. It’s not a glamorous job, but it feels good to see the stacks of plywood going out to people who are building something new. We just stay focused on the work and keep the shop running as best as we can every single day.
