Raghvani Textiles Pvt Ltd is out in the Kandla Special Economic Zone, specifically at Shed No. 261 in Sector 4’s extended area. Being in Gandhidham means dealing with a lot of dust and wind from the Kachchh landscape. The SEZ is a massive place, and our shed is just one among many similar-looking ones. It’s a very functional space. We spend a lot of time managing the logistics of being in a zone like this. The shed is quite large with high ceilings, which helps with the heat, though it still gets very warm in the summer months. There is no air conditioning in the main work area, just large industrial fans that move the hot air around. We have a small office section partitioned off where we keep the records and the computer. The commute out to Sector 4 is a bit long, and the roads can be rough after the rains. Security at the gate takes some time, so you have to plan for that. It’s a very industrial vibe here. We don’t get many walk-in visitors because of the location and the security. Most of our day is spent coordinating with trucks and checking the inventory inside the shed. It is a quiet place except for the sounds of the machinery and the wind hitting the metal roof. We usually bring our own lunch because there aren't many places to eat nearby.
