Our office is situated at the YMCA building, specifically CC-1 in Ward 10/B, right here in Gandhidham. Kutch is a unique place to live and work, and being near the YMCA puts us in a fairly active part of the town. The building itself has seen a lot of years, and our section of it is just as lived-in. We have a few rooms where we keep our records and set up our computers. It is not the kind of place you see in movies with glass partitions. It is more about wooden desks and stacks of paper. The light comes in through the side windows, and we usually have a calendar on the wall to keep track of the weeks. Working in Ward 10/B means we are close to a lot of the local action. We see the same faces every day walking past. The pace here is steady but not frantic. We take our time to make sure we don't make mistakes with the accounts or the correspondence. Sometimes we have to deal with the heat, which is just part of life in Gujarat. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone trying to sell a dream. We just provide a place where business happens and people can reach us if they need to. It is a very basic, functional environment. We show up, do what needs to be done, and that is about it for our daily routine.
