Being located in the Kandla Special Economic Zone means there is a lot of security and paperwork just to get through the gates. Our spot is at Plot No. 391/2/3 in Sector Iv. It is a massive area, and Gandhidham can get really hot and dusty. Pon Pure Chemical India Pvt. Ltd. is where we all show up every morning. We handle a lot of chemicals here, moving them in and out of the zone. The SEZ has its own rules, so we spend a lot of time following protocols. It isn't exactly the most scenic place to work, with all the warehouses and trucks everywhere. But it is where the action is for this kind of trade. We have several plots joined together because we need the space. You can hear the ships or the heavy machinery nearby sometimes. We are just a bunch of regular people making sure the chemical shipments go where they are supposed to. Kachchh has a specific feel to it, very industrial and dry. We have our small office area inside the warehouse where we drink tea and handle the manifests. It gets loud during the peak hours of loading. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s a practical setup for a practical job. We’ve been in Sector Iv for quite a while now and we know most of the neighbors. It is just our daily routine in a very busy industrial zone.
