Phillips Carbon Black Ltd has a presence out here in Village Lorikpur. We get our mail at the Sarkawra post office, and we’re located in the Sultanpur district. It’s a very different environment compared to the big cities. Out here, things move at a slower pace, and everyone knows everyone. Our setup is simple and functional, built to suit the needs of the local area. We don't have a big corporate building; it's more of a local outpost that handles what needs to be done for the company. Living and working in Sultanpur means you have to be practical. If something breaks, you fix it yourself. We spend our time managing the carbon black business, keeping track of what’s coming in and what’s going out. The roads around Lorikpur can be a bit rough after the rains, which sometimes makes logistics a challenge, but we’ve learned to plan around that. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just work. Most of the people around here are farmers or small business owners, and we fit right into that local fabric. It’s a quiet life for the most part, but there’s always something that needs attention at the site. We’re glad to be part of the community here in Sultanpur and just focus on doing a decent job every day without any extra drama. It takes some time to get used to the quiet, but it’s a good place to be.
