For Petron Civil Engg. Pvt. Ltd., we have an office in Anjar, which is in the Kutch district of Gujarat. We are based in Ratandeep Apartment, up on the second floor in Room No. 205. The building is near the New Sabji Mandi at Swasar Naka. If you know the Sabji Mandi, you know it’s always a hive of activity with people buying and selling vegetables. It makes for a very lively backdrop for our work day. The sounds of the market definitely reach us up on the second floor. Our office is pretty basic. It’s just a room where we can sit down, go through our engineering plans, and keep our records straight. Being in Anjar means we are right in the heart of the Kutch region, which has its own tough and dusty environment. We spend a lot of time coordinating things from this room. It’s not a polished corporate suite. It’s more like a functional hub for the guys on the ground. We usually have people coming in and out from different sites. The apartment itself is a bit older, but it’s sturdy and serves the purpose. We don’t have fancy slogans on the walls. We just have a calendar, some maps of the district, and our desks. It’s a humble spot near the market where we put in our hours and get the job done without any fluff. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons but we manage.
