Parmar Watch Co

Parmar Watch Co is sitting over at Shop N 4 in the town of Gandhidham. It is a pretty small space, but we have managed to fit quite a lot of stuff into it over the many years we have been here. You will find us in the Kachchh district, where the weather is usually very dry and things seem to get dusty much faster than you would think. I spend most of my working hours looking through a small magnifying lens at tiny little gears and metal springs. It is very quiet work for the most part. People usually come in when their watch battery finally dies or if they accidentally dropped their watch on the floor and the glass front cracked. We have several glass cases filled with different brands and styles, and we try our best to keep them wiped down so they look okay for whoever walks in. The market area around us can be a bit chaotic and loud, but once you step inside the shop, it usually feels a bit more still and calm. We have been in this spot long enough that we know most of the people who walk past our front door every single morning. Sometimes they just stop by for a minute to ask the time or check if we can fix some old clock they found in a cupboard at home. We do not have a big staff at all, just a couple of us who know how to handle the tools and parts.
