Oswal Overseas

Oswal Overseas is located at D-94 in Jawahar Chowk, right here in Gandhidham-Kachchh. If you know Gandhidham, you know Jawahar Chowk is a central spot where a lot of the local trade happens. Our office is a simple place. We don’t have much in the way of decoration. It’s just a space for us to manage our overseas business. Being in Kachchh, we are surrounded by a lot of industrial activity and the shipping industry. We spend a lot of time dealing with the paperwork required for international trade. It’s not always exciting, but it’s necessary work. We have a few desks and a couple of computers, and that’s about it. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a big office. We just want to make sure the goods we handle are moving the way they should. Most of our day is spent talking to agents and checking on customs clearances. The weather here can be quite dry and dusty, but we’ve lived here all our lives, so we don’t mind it much. We know most of the other business owners in the chowk. We often have a quick chat with them over tea in the afternoons. It’s a community where everyone knows what everyone else is doing. We just try to do our job quietly and keep things moving without any unnecessary drama. That’s how we’ve always operated and it seems to work fine.
