Oswal Extrusion Ltd.

Oswal Extrusion is situated in the Kandla Special Economic Zone in Gandhidham-Kachchh. We take up Plots 73, 74, 75-A, and 82-A in Sector II. It’s a large area because our machines are quite big. Working in the SEZ means there is a lot of security and rules about what comes in and out. The air smells like salt sometimes because we are close to the coast. The wind in Kachchh can be really strong, blowing dust around the yard. Most of our day is spent watching the extrusion lines and making sure the plastic is moving correctly. It’s hot work, especially near the heaters. We have a lot of storage space for the raw materials and the finished rolls. The building is mostly corrugated metal and concrete. We don’t have any fancy decorations. There’s a small room for the shift supervisors to do their paperwork. Most of the workers stay in the nearby housing areas. We’ve been operating here for years, through the heat and the dust. The machines have their own personalities and you have to know how to handle them. We don't go in for big marketing speeches. We just make the product and ship it out through the zone gates. It’s a straightforward manufacturing life here in Gandhidham, nothing more and nothing less.
