New Laxmi Bakery

New Laxmi Bakery is located at Shop No. S-97 and 98 in Gandhidham, which is out in the Kachchh region. We actually have two shop spaces right next to each other to make enough room for the ovens and the storage. The smell of baking is something you get used to after a while, but people walking by always seem to notice it. Gandhidham is a dry place, so the heat from the kitchen can be a bit much during the summer months. We spend most of our time in the back working on the dough and checking the trays. It is not a polished place for tourists. It is just a local bakery where we make things for the neighborhood. We have glass cases in the front that we try to keep clean, though they always seem to get fingerprints on them by the afternoon. Our staff is just a few local people who know how to work hard. We don't have a mission statement or a big marketing plan. We just show up early in the morning and stay until the last of the stuff is sold. The address is easy to find if you are in the area. We have been part of the community here for a long time. It is a simple life of baking and selling, and we are fine with that. No fancy stuff, just work and bread.
