If you come looking for us at Naaz Woeldwide Business Pvt. Ltd., you have to head to the Grain Merchant Building. We are on the first floor, in office fifty-nine. Plot 297 in Ward 12b is where we spend most of our daylight hours. Gandhidham is a busy town and our building reflects that energy. There is usually a lot of noise from the street and the stairs are always being used by people from the other offices. We have a few desks squeezed into the room and stacks of files that seem to grow every week. It is just a regular office where we handle the day-to-day tasks. We drink a lot of tea while we go through the shipping manifests and export papers. Sometimes the electricity cuts out for a few minutes and we all just sit there waiting for the generator to kick in. It gives us a chance to stretch our legs. Kachchh can be a tough climate with the dust and the heat, so we keep the windows shut most of the time. We are not trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to do our job well enough that people keep coming back. We know the security guard at the gate and most of the other tenants in the building. It feels like a small community even though it is a commercial block.
